This football season has one game remaining. The one that has the extended half-time to allow for events like Janet Jackson's infamous wardrobe malfunction and U2's memorable 9/11 tribute.

It is a game that has neither the Giants, who imploded, the J-E-T-S Jets, Jets, Jets or the maybe we needed a deep threat, Patriots are in, so why should we (in the number one tv market) care?

Well a lot of us don't. Fox won't like to hear that, but it is true. But there are ex-pats, I mean ex-patriots, I mean relocated Pittsburghers (?) and Green Bayers (?) who do care, and who will watch and root.

How can they show the entire country that  they do exist and proclaim their allegiance?

As usual, the web has the answer. Check out this interactive map of the U.S. by ESRI, a company known for GIS, which stands for geographic information systems.

The page also allows you indicate if you plan to enjoy the game with bottled beer, canned beer or no beer at all. Why a question about alchohol consumption? After all professional sports and beer peddlers don't have a history, do they?

As a promotional device the fan map is a great idea. Strategically, would that they had launched it a little earlier.

Kudos to my MS in Education Technology brother for the heads-up!

UPDATE:

Final vote totals:

Connecticut  512 total votes

Green Bay Packers  354   (69%)     Pittsburgh Steelers 156  (31%)

Nationwide 37,911 total votes

Green Bay Packers 24,826 (65%)   Pittsburgh Steelers  13,085  (35%)

--As to the beer question, bottles are beating cans, however in CT nearly one third (30%) will not be drinking beer, which is slightly less than the national average (32%)
