Do Primaries Matter?

Primary Day. The day the polls become real. To that end, the CPBN Media Lab went out in search of a dose of reality, real people who voiced their opinions in the most tangible american way, their vote. 

Amidst a sea of negative campaign ads in this high profile primary, we wanted to know what do voters really think?  

The CPBN Media Lab took to the polling stations on August 10 to talk to voters about their decisions in the primary election.  Questions were asked regarding their party affiliation, willingness to vote for their party’s endorsed candidate, and their predictions of the outcome of the election.   As low turnouts were predicted, voters shared their voting history in primaries as well as their reasoning behind choosing to vote.
