HOME FOR CHRISTMAS-1945 Saturday Night
Saturday Night Is The Loneliest Night Of The Week
By the end of 1945, the Allies had claimed victory over Japan and Germany. World War II was over and soon our men and women overseas would be returning home to be reunited with family and friends. Christmastime 1945 would be the most memorable in years.
In this 1999 CPTV production the late Peter Harvey, locally renowned composer, conductor, tenor and teacher celebrated the especially sentimental era with this selection of American favorites.
Home for Christmas-1945, was arranged and performed by Harvey with the accompaniment of the Hartford Conservatory Vocal Arts Quintet and earned Mr. Harvey a regional Emmy Award.
