River City Slim & The Zydeco Hogs
Peter Rost (aka River City Slim) began "serving up a gumbo of American Roots Music" on his show "Pine Grove Blues" on WWUH (91.3 FM) in 1994. It wasn't long after, that he formed a band that would make its own. In the winter of '98, he and a group of Hartford area musicians formed River City Slim & The Zydeco Hogs and ever since have been bringing the spirit of Louisiana to the northeast. Taking their name from "I'm A Zydeco Hog" by Nathan & The Zydeco Cha-chas, they began creating their own exuberant blend of Cajun, Creole and rhythm & blues or in a word- Zydeco.
The band has recorded four albums to date including "Rockin' The Zydeco World!" and "It's Hot In Here!" Performing at festivals and clubs throughout the region, their combination of deep roots and lively rhythms can move even the most reluctant New Englanders to dance.

If you're not sweatin' . . . you're not doing it right.

Great fun to see and hear
Great fun to see and hear what you're into, Peter! Do you remember me from Dodd JH? Thanks to Chip Simon for sharing this. It's a cool video and sounds like you have a really good time with your band. Hope you'll be going to the 40th reunion but what I really hope is that your band will be making us dance!
