Beck, Bubba, Barack and Bodyslams
All roads lead to Connecticut on one last-ditch weekend

Glenn Beck kicked it off with a Saturday morning book-signing at Barnes and Noble in West Hartford's Blue Back Square.
In the afternoon, the WWE brought its biggest stars to Hartford for a "fan appreciation day" that either did or did not have something to do with the candidacy of Linda McMahon. The New Haven Independent's Thomas MacMillan was there. (Wonderful photos.)
At roughly the same time, in Bridgeport, President Barack Obama barnstormed for Democratic candidates, especially Jim Himes.
Many of those candidates were at the University of Hartford Sunday night as Bill Clinton preempted Halloween and spoke for 45 minutes on behalf of gubernatorial candidate Dan Malloy and the Democratic slate. My comments here.
WNPR's Where We Live provided this handy wrap-up to the Beck gig, the Stewart-Colebert rally and pretty much everything else mentioned in this post. Slide show included.
