July 27:
- OKLAHOMA -- Senate: Tom Coburn (R) seeking re-election. House: 5 seats. Governor: Open; Brad Henry (D) term-limited. (Runoff date: Aug. 24)

- KANSAS -- Senate: Open; Sam Brownback (R) retiring. House: 4 seats. Governor: Open; Mark Parkinson (D) retiring.
- MICHIGAN -- House: 15 seats. Governor: Open; Jennifer Granholm (D) term-limited.
- MISSOURI -- Senate: Open; Kit Bond (R) retiring. House: 9 seats.

- ARKANSAS -- Senate: John Boozman (R) will face incumbent Blanche Lincoln (D). House: 4 seats. Governor: Incumbent Mike Beebe (D) will face Jim Keet (R).
- CALIFORNIA -- Senate: Incumbent Barbara Boxer (D) will face Carly Fiorina (R). House: 53 seats. Governor: Jerry Brown (D) will face Meg Whitman (R); incumbent Arnold Schwarzenegger (R) is term-limited.
- GEORGIA -- Senate: Incumbent Johnny Isakson (R) will face Michael Thurmond (D). House: 13 seats. Governor: Roy Barnes (D) will face the winner of an Aug. 10 Republican runoff between Karen Handel and Nathan Deal; Sonny Perdue (R) is term-limited.
- IDAHO -- Senate: Incumbent Mike Crapo (R) will face Tom Sullivan (D). House: 2 seats. Governor: Keith Allred (D) will face incumbent Butch Otter (R).
- ILLINOIS -- Senate: Alexi Giannoulias (D) will face Mark Steven Kirk (R) for the seat Roland Burris (D) is leaving. House: 19 seats. Governor: Bill Brady (R) will face incumbent Pat Quinn (D).
- INDIANA -- Senate: Dan Coats (R) will face Brad Ellsworth (D) for the seat Evan Bayh (D) is leaving. House: 9 seats.
