 Today in Slate, I am the house Jew (at a magazine filled with Jews!), arguing to save the Jewish home from the intrusion of the Christmas tree. My dialogue with Jessica Grose continues tomorrow, but I will say in advance that I fear that too many people will see our debate as being about intermarriage, which it is not. I bear no ill will toward intermarried people, including beloved friends and relatives.
