Josie Holtzman
Bio

Josie first came to love radio in college when she hosted an early morning Jazz music show called Toast and Jam on Vassar College’s station, WVKR.  She moved from music to the production side of things when she attended the radio boot camp that is the Salt Institute of Documentary Studies.  She has since interned at WNYC’s Studio 360, created sound design for radio plays and theater, and produced pieces for NPR’s Weekend All Things Considered, Studio 360, and NHPR’s Word of Mouth.  Her stories cover everything from a traveling art exhibit about the Iraq war to New York City dog walkers. Josie was hired as a producer for Where We Live in the summer of 2010.  So she somewhat reluctantly left the big city of New York and headed back to her home state of CT, where she is gaining a newfound appreciation for its many stone walls, hikes, and trees.  Josie also enjoys brownies, lengthy road trips, and all other adventures on bike or foot.
