Association For Corporate Growth Hosts Dealmaker Meeting
Growth is expected from merger and acquisition companies
Dealmakers who broker mergers and acquisitions between companies say they’re increasingly confident about the economic recovery. The Association for Corporate Growth will bring together many influential professionals in Stamford Friday. WNPR’s Harriet Jones reports.
This survey looks at the opinions of professionals in private equity, venture capital and buyout firms, investment bankers, attorneys, accountants and others who work in the field of corporate mergers. 77% of Connecticut-based respondents said they expect an increase in activity in the field in the next six months. They’re also looking forward to more hiring – almost half the firms involved in the survey said they will add positions. Ramsey Goodrich is the President of the Association for Corporate Growth in Connecticut.
“We’re seeing activity across the entire spectrum, whether that be consumer products, healthcare, manufacturing, IT services—it’s a broad spectrum recovery. But specifically, certainly healthcare and consumer products are two areas of real focus for dealmakers here in Connecticut.”
Stamford will host the state’s largest gathering of mergers and acquisitions professionals as the ACG holds its private equity expo today.
