Attorney General Eric Holder said customs agents have arrested a Pakistan-born U.S. citizen in connection with the failed plot to detonate a car bomb in New York's Times Square.
Faisal Shahzad, who is suspected of driving an explosives-laden SUV into Times Square, was taken into custody just before midnight Monday at New York's John F. Kennedy International Airport. One official said he claimed to have acted alone.

It's clear that the intent behind this terrorist act was to kill Americans.
