Colin McEnroe Show: Hartford Could Learn A Thing Or Two From L.A.

In New Haven, some preservationists are mourning the loss of an old fashioned railroad station schedule board, the kind that goes clickety-clickety-clack every time the arrivals and departures turn over.

In Bridgeport, there is still quite a bit of angst over the hand-counting of ballots from last months's election -- and of course, some of that angst is tied to the loss of the old fashioned voting machines that go clankety-clank when you vote. We are not eager to embrace the de-mechanized hum of the digital world.

We're doing three segments today. The first is about a young man from Hartford now studying urban planning at USC. He thinks a lot about buses and trains.

The second is about the Bridgeport ballot recount and the last is indeed about that old fashioned schedule board in New Haven.

All of them are about the clash of the old mechanical world with the digital now.

Nat Gale is freaking adorable

Nat Gale is freaking adorable and brilliant. You'd never guess he was from Hartford. Met him first when he was a punky DJ at WKCR. Keep on carbon- neutral truckin', Nat.
