Colin McEnroe Show: Reaction To Osama Bin Laden's Death

I confess I was surprised last night when crowds surged to the White House and to the former site of the World Trade Center to cheer the death of Osama bin Laden.

It seems to me like an anticlimax. The world has changed a lot in ten years, and the argument that change in Middle East can only be accomplished by terrorism seems weak and empty. We've seen a drastic transformation in a manner that would appear to make al-Qaeda irrelevant. To the extent that al-Qaeda is relevant, I don't have a sense that Osama bin Laden was a key player any more. Even now, in the wake of his death, I fear any reprisals will come from "open source" cells only glancingly connected to the main movement.

Here's hoping life after Osama is peaceful here.

Suggestion for a show

(I am sending this from my email at work but have given you my home email address).
Hi Colin!
Are you ever open to suggestions for topics for your show? I have an idea but don't want to pitch it if you're not interested.
