Faith Middleton Show: Greed In The Corporate Boardroom
How the Failure of Corporate Boards Is Ruining American Business

We live in a time when lots of people are looking at the economy and are looking for somebody to blame! On the dart board we have watchdog agencies that didn't foresee the meltdown; wall street, hedge funds; and our focus for this interview, corporate boards.
Have these corporate boards been asleep at the switch? Are these boards hiring CEOs that will jack up stock prices by any means necessary, without thinking about long-term impact on their companies and workers? Are these boards too isolated from the company's workers, who might have enlightening things to say about daily operations? Or are we talking about a few bad pennies--not the bunch.
John Gillespie, co-author of Money for Nothing - How the Failure of Corporate Boards is Ruining American Business and Costing Us Trillions, was an investment banker for 18 years with Lehman Brothers, Morgan Stanley and Bear Stearns. He's no stranger to the world of business.
