In this morning's paper, I read about the heartbreaking BP oil spill threatening Louisianna.  And then I read that pirates in a jungle are stripping the land of some of the most ancient redwood trees on earth, selling them to China.

Marcelo Gleiser, respected commentator, physicist, Dartmouth professor and author of A Tear At The Edge Of Creation, explores the question of how life began.
