Faith Middleton's Food Schmooze: Grilled Cheese
Variations on a popular favorite sandwich

Grilled Cheese
Ingredients:

Bread – country white, seeded rye, potato bread or whole wheat

Cheese – sharp, Extra Sharp or your favorite cheese

Toppings – Caramelized onions, sautéed crimini mushrooms, sliced tomato, sliced pickles, sliced prosciutto, crispy bacon, truffle oil, or any of your favorite toppings.

Two slices of your favorite bread open faced.

Cover each slice with your favorite cheese.

On one of the slices add your favorite toppings.

Close the sandwich.

Drizzle the outside of each slice of bread with olive oil.

Cook using your favorite method.
Favorites: Faith loved the potato breach with sharp cheddar cheese, caramelized onions, crimini mushrooms and truffle oil.
Jonathan’s favorite: seeded rye bread with cheddar cheese, crispy bacon, pickles and olive oil.
Methods: Chris loves the George Forman Grill. Other methods include the Panini grill, cast iron pan or whatever you choose. Lori likes the toaster oven for less calories.

Mosquitos and beer
Faith -- The likely link is CO2, carbon dioxide.
Mosquitos and other mini predators are attracted by CO2 emitted by their prey through exhaled breath, dermatological release of CO2 and other factors. Beer, as a carbonated beverage, has bubbles that burst at the surface and release, guess what, CO2.
You may want to check this out with scientists, I'm only a recovering journalist. But I think it makes sense!
