Hamilton Sundstrand To Open Service Center In Windsor Locks
The new center will expand to 25 employees over the next couple of months

Aerospace systems maker Hamilton Sundstrand has opened a new global service center in Windsor Locks. The facility will provide support 24-7 to the company’s airline customers. WNPR’s Harriet Jones reports.
Hamilton Sundstrand sells aircraft systems such as electrical, air management, and auxiliary power to more than 1,500 airlines operating 25,000 aircraft in the commercial sector, with thousands more systems also installed in military and private planes. The new customer response center located at Hamilton’s Windsor Locks headquarters will offer logistical support sourcing spare parts, or supplying technical answers to questions from repair or service personnel. General manager of customer service at Hamiton, Matthew Bromberg says the company decided to site the center in Connecticut for several reasons.
“We get visits by major customers around the world to meet with us and discuss how we’re supporting them. The first thing they’ll see when they come into our lobby is our customer response center. The second reason we built it here was that a significant amount of our engineering resources in terms of design and validation are located in Windsor Locks, so it gives us critical mass when we have to go back into the design arm of Hamilton Sundstrand and investigate what’s going on out in the field.”
The new center is currently staffed by 15 engineers, and will expand to 25 employees over the next couple of months. Some of these will be new hires from outside of the company.
