It's Connecticut Whale Week!
The Wolfpack is renamed to bring residents back to hockey in Hartford

Governor Rell joined former Whalers owner Howard Baldwin on Tuesday to declare this week "Connecticut Whale Week" to celebrate the new name of Hartford's American Hockey League or AHL team.
Baldwin is behind the re-branding of the former Wolfpack team. His goal is to attract Connecticut residents back to hockey after the Whalers left in 1997 with the hope that one day the National Hockey League will return.
WNPR's Ali Warshavsky asked residents walking around Blue Back Square if they're interested in supporting the Connecticut Whale
The team will play their first game as the Connecticut Whale against the Bridgeport Sound Tigers this Saturday at 7 pm at the XL Center in downtown Hartford.
