It is the mission of the Kohlrabi Liberation Front (a subsidiary of The Colin McEnroe Show) to raise awareness of the kohlrabi, a humble, highly versatile vegetable which most people could not pick out of a line-up.
On Sunday, Comrade Eloise from GeoRoots Solar Growth Farm in North Canton showed her commitment to the Cause by unveiling a new kohlrabi named after Dear Leader at the Hill-Stead Farmer's Market.
We salute Eloise, but the KLF will not rest this summer until every person in Connecticut has eaten the People's Vegetable.
They can take away our squash. They can take away our melons. But they can never take away our kohlrabi.

It's time has come! I just had Marilyn copy the Kohlrabi page out of the Macsac vegetable guide, because I'm tired of answering questions about it. A great but forgotten Eastern European vegetable. It grows quickly, it stores well, it tastes good, and you can eat it raw, cooked, or pickled. Kohlrabi Liberation Front! Where do I sign up. I think I just did.
