Mary Loftus Levine takes the helm of the 41,000 member Connecticut Education Association, the state's largest public employee union. She takes over today for John Yrchik who retired yesterday. Mary Loftus Levine joins us by phone.

I am fresh graduate I got my communications degree online. At the moment I have to say that I'm not very happy with the level of education and performance in high-schools. Maybe the new chief chairman will do better and improve things to an acceptable level.
