Morning Edition: Another Misstatement for Blumenthal
Nine months ago, then Senate candidate Richard Blumenthal found himself miredin controversy over reports that he inaccurately claimed on at least two occasions that he served in Vietnam, when in fact he served stateside during the confict. This week in Washington, Senator Blumenthal has made a similar misstatement. The Connecticut Mirror's Washington Correspondent, Deirdre Shesgreen, discovered the discrepency, and she joins us now by phone.

This seems really silly to me. With all the important issues now that really need clarifying, why would Ms Shesgreen choose to waste her investigative inclinations on this, and why would you waste precious time (especially when news is reduced by fund-raising) by covering it? Priorities please!
