October 21,22, 23. The Puerto Rican Studies Association (PRSA) 9th Biennial Conference will be held this year at the Marriott in downtown Hartford, Connecticut. Hartford is home to one of the most important-and politically-active Puerto Rican communities in the United States. Panels, roundtables, and plenaries are scheduled for Friday and all day Saturday. The conference brings together scholars, academics, and members of the Puerto Rican community from all over the country to address the theme of Resistance and Empowerment in the Body Rican.  The event is co-sponsored by the University of Connecticut, Storrs, INSTITUTE OF PUERTO RICAN AND LATINO STUDIES.
