New Bradley Flights To Milwaukee
Frontier Air returns to Connecticut airport in September
Bradley International Airport’s flight network is expanding once again. As WNPR’s Harriet Jones reports, the airport in Windsor Locks is to get non-stop service to Milwaukee.
New twice daily non-stop service to Milwaukee will begin from Bradley in late September. The service marks the return to Connecticut of Frontier Air, which has Milwaukee as one its hubs. The flight will be Bradley’s first direct connection to Wisconsin.
Frontier used to offer service to Denver from Bradley, but was forced to pull out of that route in 2008. The airline subsequently went into bankruptcy, only to emerge when it was acquired last year by Republic Airways Holdings.
Officials at Bradley say they’re hopeful Frontier could add more routes from the Connecticut airport once the Milwaukee flight is established. It’s the second new service in as many months for Bradley – in June, JetBlue Airways announced new non-stop flights to Orlando and Fort Lauderdale in Florida, planned to begin in November.
