Playhouse on Park Explores The Immigrant's Story
The Parkville Project is set in Hartford's diverse Parkville neighborhood

Immigration Reform has taken center state again with the election season just a few months away. Just last week, the federal govt filed a lawsuit challenging Arizona's immigration law which allows its police to enforce immigration policies, something the US government contends is its responsibility.
A play currently running at West Hartford's Playhouse on Park peels back the layers of policy debate and explore the stories behind the immigrants who work and live here. It's called the Parkville Project and the director is Helene Kvale. She spoke with WNPR's All Things Considered Host Lucy Nalpathanchil.
The Parkville Project runs through this Sunday, July 18, at the Playhouse on Park in West Hartford, it's a co-production with Bated Breath Theater. More information can be found at playhouseonpark.org or batedbreaththeater.org
