Where We Live: Art And Optical Illusion

The artist M. C. Escher is known for his etchings and drawings of visual puzzles and impossible structures.

You may have had a poster of his work on your dorm room wall, but now  now you can see one of the most comprehensive Escher collections at the New Britain Museum of American Art – one hundred thirty works spanning the artists long career.

Today, we’ll hear about the exhibit, Impossible Reality, and learn more about who M. C. Escher was.  We’ll also talk to a professor from the Yale Perception and Cognition Lab who’ll explain just how it works when our brain processes optical illusions.
