Where We Live: Election Over, Still No Governor
It was a long and eventful election night 2010. And, it's not over yet.
It was a long and eventful election night 2010. And, at least in Connecticut – it’s not over yet.
The national story is one of sweeping change for Republicans. The GOP gained enough seats in the House to take control – and enough seats in the Senate to change the landscape.
Even some key governor’s races swung the way of the republicans.
But in Connecticut it was a different story – Chris Murphy and Jim Himes, two democratic congressmen seen as vulnerable, pulled out victories against tough challengers.
And Richard Blumenthal fended off a wave of money from Linda mcmahon to preserve Chris Dodd’s senate seat for the Democrats.
But ballot problems in the city of Bridgeport have kept us from knowing the results of the governor’s race yet. Both republican tom foley and democrat dan malloy gave “victory” speeches of a sort last night – and at this hour their race is still too close to call.
Today where we live – the latest news, conversation with the newest US senator from Connecticut – and a chance to hear from you.
