Where We Live: Environmental Priorities

Audio excerpts from a panel discussion that John Dankosky hosted, as part of the 2011 environmental summit of the Connecticut League of Conservation Voters.  The event was meant to highlight some of the issues that the environmental community plans to focus on in the state in 2012.  The panel was about “legislative Priorities” and included Senate President Don Williams, Speaker of the House Chris Donovan and Senate Minority Leader John McKinney. the other top legislative leader, republican Larry Cafero was invited but couldn’t attend.  

They talked about a wide range of issues, including energy and clean water - today we'll listen to two conversations which are probably going to be the most important topics when it comes to the environment this upcoming session:  the tensions between business - and some lawmakers - and environemntal groups - over regulations.  Whether in an effort to create jobs, we’re harming our natural resources; and about the Haddam Land Swap.
