Where We Live: Muslim World Journal

The last 100 years have seen big shifts in Muslim thought and its perception in the rest of the world.

The Muslim World Journal celebrates its 100th anniversary in 2011.  It’s been sponsored by Hartford Seminary since 1938. It contains scholarly research on Islam and reports on the current state of Christian-Muslim relations.

This past weekend there was a celebration featuring David Burrell who is an internationally known scholar and practitioner of interfaith dialogue and understanding.

He joins us today along with the managing editor of The Muslim World journal and other guests from Hartford Seminary, about the changes in Muslim thought and global perception over the past century.

In many ways we seem to be at the peak of intolerance and misunderstanding of Islam and Muslims in America and around the world.  We’ll look at how and why this has developed over the years.
