	In 2004, artist and director Joe Standart began Portrait of America in New London. The exhibit featured monumental portraits of the city's residents throughout various pubic spaces in the downtown area.  Now he’s brought the project to Hartford, photographing and interviewing the capital city’s most well-known residents, as well as many every-day folks.
