Where We Live: Robert Ballard Is Back At It
After discovering the shipwrecked Titanic in 1985, Dr. Robert Ballard could have retired and still gone down as one of the greatest explorers ever. More than 25 years later though, he’s still at it.
His latest expedition is underway and he’s monitoring its every move from his control room in Mystic Aquarium, his computer at home, and on his iPhone everywhere else.
On Wednesday, his team aboard the E/V Nautilus discovered a shipwreck in the Black Sea off the coast of Turkey. You can watch the expedition on NautilusLive.org where they have live streaming video and audio of the mission on the ocean floor.

It's like an I-95 without an adopt-a-highway program for 2,000 years... These ancient mariners' trade routes are marked by their trash.
