Where We Vote: Susan Bysiewicz
She's running for U.S. Senate

Susan Bysiewicz is hoping to turn her name recognition and long political career in Connecticut into a spot in the US Senate.
Bysiewicz was Connecticut’s popular Secretary of the State, when she decided to give up that job to run for Governor. Then, in the first round of the bizarre political shakeup of 2010, she left that race while in the lead to run for the Attorney General’s job, being vacated by now Senator Richard Blumenthal.
A court ruling took her out of that race - and she faced 2011 as someone out of a job in politics...until she decided to make a run for the other Senate seat, being vacated by Joe Lieberman.
Today, where we live, we’ll talk with Susan Bysiewicz about what is now a three-way race for the Democratic nomination...and about her views on the debt ceiling and foreign policy.

Drinkin' the GOP Kool-Aid
She's drunk the "Government doesn't create jobs!" Kool-Aid. The state and local governments are by far the largest employers in Connecticut with 187,000 full-time equivalent employees. Second largest? Foxwoods, with 11,000, tied with Sikorksky. And what do you suppose created all those jobs at Sikorsky? Or the 10,500 at Electric Boat? Or the 8,000 at Pratt & Whitney? Or the 5,000 at Hamilton Sundstrand? Or their suppliers? Or the lunch counters and gas stations that depend on them. Blumenthal should have thought of that when McMahon baited him, but hey, I can forgive brain freeze. Susie's had plenty of time to think it over, but still mutters nothing but Rapublican platitudes. What a hack! She'll say whatever she thinks will to get her elected.
Re: Paul's comments
Good Luck to you Paul, I hope you find a job that doesn't require
you to spell correctly! Your points are valid though, please tell me you don't have a college degree.

Ms. Bisowitiz needs to get money to support Connecticut Cities, such as Hartford and New Haven. This state lacks good cities where ideas and small buisnesses can florish. Connecticut suburban development has killed it's growth in jobs and livelyness. As a young person that has just moved to this state for a job, I can tell you I will be leaving this State onces I find a job in Boston or NYC. Fix Connecticut's cities so that the young don't leave the state. Good working and fun cities grow economies and keep the young and draw others in.

Why should anyone vote for Susan. It's ironic that she is running for Lieberman's seat since her department dropped the ball and did not move the petition date when they moved the primary in 2006. If her department had done its job, Ned Lamont would be senator today. Also, her department almost cost Dannel Malloy his office by not providing Bridgeport enough ballots. Susan, please go home and stop running for office. We can't handle any more of your mistakes.
