Work Resumes At Hartford Distributors
Funerals were held for the victims and the shooter

A Connecticut beer distributor re-opened on Wednesday, one week after an employee went on a shooting rampage killing eight co-workers and himself. WNPR's Diane Orson reports.
Police say company driver Omar Thornton was asked to resign from his job at Hartford Distributors minutes before the August 3rd shooting began. He’d been caught on video stealing beer. Eight members of Teamsters Local 1035 were among the dead.
Driver Michael Pletcher says he and other employees took a moment to remember the victims before going back to work.
"We have to get started somewhere. All the funerals and wakes are over and its just... We just gotta get going."
Two other people were shot and survived. Thornton’s family held a private memorial service for him yesterday at a Hartford funeral home.
For WNPR, I’m Diane Orson.
