Obama Picks McCarthy To Head EPA
She played a key role in setting pollution standards in Conn. and Mass.

President Obama has announced his next round of administration officials...including one who might have the toughest job in Washington.
“The New EPA Administrator will have a tall task to perform here. This is a big deal. The new administrator will be one of the most powerful directors in the next decade”
That’s Quin Shea with the Edison Electrical Institute, a trade group for utility companies. And he’s talking about Gina McCarthy...most recently an assistant administrator at the Environmental Protection Agency. She’s also played a key role in setting pollution standards in Connecticut and Massachusetts. We’ll consider what she’ll do in an administration that seems newly focused on Global climate change.
