Connecticut: We're Number One!
A Measure of America ranking Puts CT On Top
You might have seen this: another one of those studies just came out that paints a pretty negative picture of Connecticut. CNBC ranked it’s “top states for business” - and Connecticut placed 45th. The study measures things like the “cost of doing business” and “business-friendliness.” It’s the sort of study that gets pointed to when we hear complaints about job creation.
But what happens when you measure other things? Things like human development instead of gross domestic product? Well, according to Measure of America - our state comes out on top.
Not surprisingly - Wyoming is seen as the 9th best state to do business by CNBC, but only the 35th best state to actually live in. So, more importantly, is Connecticut really “the best state?”
